I’ve captured days at a lot of different wedding venues as a Wisconsin wedding photographer, and very few have the elegant, and still comfortable, feel that The Eloise does. You walk into this Wisconsin wedding venue and immediately feel calm and present. You’re surrounded by simple elegance, all-white walls, and a staff that really knows what they’re doing. And from the days I’ve captured at this luxury wedding venue, I’ve seen exactly how it supports a day that feels calm, classic, and elevated.
If the wedding you’re dreaming of exists where high-class meets simplicity, I love that. Keep reading to see everything to know about how to plan your day at The Eloise.

Every detail at The Eloise feels intentional. It’s all placed perfectly for you to have space, to stay present, and to be able to breathe. One of my favorite parts about the venue, though, is that it’s incredibly versatile. It can hold any type of day so well, whether it’s a traditional day or a simple, modern one.
With The Eloise being right in the heart of Southern Wisconsin, you don’t have to sacrifice that homey, small-town feel that makes Wisconsin what it is. It’s a great venue that shows how luxury can coexist with countryside energy, and it’s a mix I truly love.
Here’s everything to know about the venue:

The thing I love the most about this venue is how it holds each part of your day. How the getting-ready suites allow for joy and connection with your bridesmaids. How the open fields form a wonderful backdrop for the two of you to share a first look, private vows, and a prayer together before the day begins. The way the reception area lets conversations (and dancing) flow naturally, so that nothing ever feels forced.
Here’s a sample timeline that I’ve found works really well for a day at The Eloise that’s rooted in honest moments and deep connection:
10:00 am: Venue access opens, and you can start getting ready. This looks like a lot of quality time spent with your best friends, complete with upbeat music, mimosas, and a lot of excitement for the day ahead.
2:00 pm: You’re done getting ready, and you head to a private, intimate area to share a first look and your private vows with your love. It’s just the two of you sharing this moment, which makes it a great chance to connect, ground yourselves, and say a quick prayer together before the day carries on.
2:15 pm: Couples portraits around the property. I always recommend going to the open fields, right in front of the building, and inside against the white walls. The clean lines and simple feel everywhere really let you two shine.
2:45 pm: Wedding party portraits around the property. My personal favorite spot to capture these moments is in front of the building, because the white and black color scheme makes it really modern and allows for a lot of fun posing, letting you all have a blast.

4:00 pm: The biggest, most important part of the day: your ceremony. This is where you’ll say “I do,” and become one with the love of your life. Whether you’re indoors on the balcony space surrounded by natural light or outdoors with a wooded backdrop, you’ll feel relaxed and have space for every emotion. It’s the perfect setting to hold the moment when you’re starting forever.
4:30 pm: Family portraits will happen while cocktail hour begins, but I always suggest that my couples take a short break after the ceremony to be present with one another.
5:00 pm: You two can join the cocktail hour so that you actually get to enjoy it and mingle with guests instead of just waiting for the reception.

5:30 pm: You make your grand entrance into the reception, then special dances, dinner, and toasts will follow. This is the time that lets you have your fun and really celebrate the merging of two souls! If you want to see the timeline I always recommend following for a reception, you can find my guide here.
7:30 pm: Sunset portraits on the property are one of my favorite parts of the evening, because the photos are absolutely stunning, and it’s a time for the two of you to connect while the energy is high. These moments are always some of the most romantic.
11:00 pm: Venue access ends, and you get to exit via getaway car. When you leave, you’re thrilled about how perfect your day turned out.
This is a timeline that not only lets you experience every part of your day, but also lets you feel calm and relaxed since there’s plenty of buffer time. And that’s something that really impacts how you experience your day, so it’s extremely important to me.

If you still have questions about the luxury wedding venue, I understand. Here are a few questions that my couples ask me often about this space:
The Eloise is a luxury wedding venue that has an overall modern feel, clean lines, and an elegant overall style. It’s incredibly versatile and can hold a wedding full of bold colors or a monochromatic black-and-white wedding. As a tip from a Wisconsin wedding photographer who has seen a lot of days here, don’t overdo it. The space is so gorgeous on its own, and letting it shine creates a lovely backdrop for your day.

Yes, The Eloise has a list of trusted vendors that have worked at the venue many times, and they give it to couples for easy planning.
While a coordinator isn’t required at the Wisconsin wedding venue, it’s highly encouraged to have one. This creates the smoothest flow of the day so that you don’t have to worry about the small details.
Yes, the Eloise has in-house bar services, via a built-in bar that makes things really simple and classy.

Your pup is allowed outside at the wedding venue, but not inside. So if you want to include them for portraits outside or in an outdoor ceremony, you absolutely can.
Yes, The Eloise provides venue staff at your wedding, in case you need anything throughout the day. They also handle clean-up after, which is another thing taken off your plate.

As a Wisconsin wedding photographer who has seen a lot of weddings at The Eloise, I’ve learned how to create an elegant, luxury wedding that doesn’t feel too stiff. Here’s the information I always give my couples:

Sondra and Austin had a wedding day that was truly the definition of simple elegance. The mix of these flowed naturally throughout their decor, the flow of their timeline, and the details they incorporated. I had the opportunity to second shoot this for Annika Frame, and I’m so honored that I got to play a small part in this beautiful day.
These two were genuinely so excited to be getting married, so they had so much fun. They lived in the present, and all of their moments were rooted in honesty, which is something that made a huge difference in how it felt and how their photos turned out.
The Eloise made their day feel effortless. Nothing felt rushed or stiff, and the elegance and simplicity of the Wisconsin wedding venue brought so much calmness to their day, which isn’t something you always see.

As a Wisconsin wedding photographer, I know how a venue can shape your day, so I know it’s not a decision to take lightly. If you’re looking for a Wisconsin wedding venue that’s not only a luxury wedding venue but also allows you to have a peaceful, joyous day, The Eloise might just be for you.
It would be an honor to document your love, whether it’s at The Eloise or in your backyard. Inquire here, and we’ll chat about your vision to create your perfect day together.
